When users go to install, make the installation process suggest strongly the use of a USB stick for installation.
This should then avoid the possibility of installing the program onto a drive which would be the object of recovery. With everything involved all installed on the USB stick and not on the host PC, then running the whole process is neatly contained, allowing freedom to specify the drive/partition to be recovered and where it might be recovered to.
If this idea is already included then I apologise, but I certainly wasn't prompted to do this when I installed it just now!
